Reviews
I bought this as an upgrade to a cheap Foreman Grill. Looks nice but it 's been a huge disappointment. R rEssentially, the simple rectangular heating element combined with the very low mass (lightweight) plates rather unfortunate create hot spots along the perimeter. This all takes the convenience out of the design as you have to open it up and shuffle things around Lest they be half cooked (or at least half brown.) R rThe Foreman grill, while certainly not perfect, at least had enough heavy FREE to distribute the heat evenly and make acceptable looking food. R rBoo.
First, he bought a Griddlers about 6 months at a discount warehouse store. Unfortunately, the unit turns off when you use the function of the snowboard. Although it 'm not 100% positive but I think Griddlers seemed to be overheating when it reached a certain temperature and then quenched. The grid function has always worked perfectly. I explained what was happening to representatives of Cuisinart and they told me that the machine was defective. RI returned the item to the store and was given change. However, I have the same problem of the plate with the new machine. Although I like the grill function, the fact that the iron does not work is a great disappointment. I 'm going to see if I can return the second Griddlers, at this moment, I ' m willing to buy a cut and dry reversible plate / pan. While Cuisinart had a wonderful concept for this device, I do not think Cuisinart in execution.
Easy to use and switch plates to grill or griddle; cleans beautifully. The device does not occupy a lot of counter space. As the ability to control temperature. I would recommend this product, especially if cooking for 2-4 people. Works even better than I had hoped.
I am impressed with this grill and find it better than my old Foreman grill. The boards for the cleaning solution and the upper plate can press down on variable height / angle to adjust to the altitude, what you have on the grill. R rthe temperature will have a major means of a function, and heat the grill to within 5 minutes to its maximum. I 've been using it mainly for panini and crickets. R ron non-stick surfaces: I have read some complaints about the Teflon finish and suggests some users, not quite aware of the limits and the proper care of the non-stick cookware. In general, nonstick surfaces are not so much "poorly designed " (as one reviewer put it), they only need to use real-life limitations, no matter what you brand. Even iron, fairly durable, has its own limitations. Be wary that complaint reviews 'don t suggest a better alternative. R rNonstick surfaces show best when longevity is only used oil before eating them. In addition, the effect of temperatures above 500 degrees (about the maximum setting break here) to them a little. I don 't messy grill to these temperatures at max when you want it to last. The Teflon finish on this is a little less effective than some cookware I 've used, but I suspect this is due to the higher temperatures are expected to grill Endure (so that the user won ' t stain Teflon receive their food). I shouldn 't have to say, but I will: You can expect ' t that metal use on Teflon surfaces) (Messer, scouring pads and expect that's enough. I 've had it about 6 months and use it 2-3 times per week and the plates are still in great shape. Bread and rolls easily cleaned. If I get a little messy to cook, and don 't want the burden of cleaning, sometimes I will use aluminum foil. You always get marks even a nice set of characters.
Why independent product design switch position, the second heating plate in the same way, only better in degree or low to high, I was hoping to control the choice of individuals above and below the plate, but it ISN 't to be. The 3 foot cord is too short, but there is little cover you can remove to replace the cable, and I'll replace it with a 6 foot cable, also will add a button to disconnect from the elements when not needed. R rNow good thing, heats quickly, evenly and temperature settings are shown seem accurate. The plate is easy to remove and load and heat retention is excellent. Compact design, and the movement of a hinge on the hinge allows for greater travel.
I bought this product at Sam 's club as a replacement for my George Foreman grill and my plate Wolfgang Puck. Believe that others have tested this pretty well, so let 's give ya a rundouwn about this unit. I happened grilled brats, sausages, grilled cheese, Monte Cristo, hot dogs, salmon fillets, burgers, raw vegetables and grilled. It comes with 4 interchangeable plates, but I've only ever used for cooking. End R rWorked for the first month, however, after 30 days, to manage the hinge that opens the unit, but the hinge in the middle which allows for cooking of food to about 2 "tall solenoid valve for use stay open so you can scrape the upper plate, but doesn 't lock well, and you can easily get burned if any pressure was put on the top plate, leading to swing down and burns to provide a ' s fingers. r rI have had this unit for about 1 month. I 'm planning to go buy a George Foreman grill, because the Cuisinart Griddle doesn ' escape T! It took me a while 'to realize that this was causing other problems. A year later, on non-stick coating on the base plate came out because I have to apply a lot of pressure during cleaning. I actually use the "approved " project is just fancy sponges for cleaning "Foreman "type grills, but the coating is coming off none-the-less. I think it is poor. They could have set foot riser on it to make the flight ... go figure. r RSO, on the whole, even if this unit performs well, it 's longevity is questionable and seems to be designed with the Gillette business model (you have to keep buying "recharges ") in respect of the dishes. Personally, I ' m about to pay more for new dishes when I can just as easily pay $ 20 for a decent new George Foreman grill. Foreman Whatever I get, I won 't get one with interchangeable plates. My recommendation is to avoid this unit unless aesthetics is your main concern, and the money is not an object. BTW: Historically, the fall of Foreman grills, is being, for me, however, that there is no power switch, one only has the ability to connect or disconnect. Maybe the new models that have been resolved. I hope this is helpful!
Cuisinart bought the G-4, after much research and 2 George Foreman grills. Loved the grilled sandwiches and pancakes making capacity. It worked fine for a month or so. Then the drive began during arrest grill. At the end of the function Griddle has stopped working and the temperature in September was to be lower and lower each time until it just wouldn 't turn up at all. Pass 's limited warranty, so he had to trash it. Still looking for a reliable griller sandwich. How can it be difficult?!
I 've had your eye out for this for a while, and found that this was the best price I could find. I love the floating hinge function, who cooks the sandwiches evenly. I recommend you choose one, like this that has removable plates for easy cleaning. Enjoy!
This 4 Griddler is the best kitchen 'gadgets '. I use it for everything. It's so easy to use and very easy to clean. Pop off the rails and wash them in the sink or dishwasher. Do not use pillows or resources can scratch. We use it for eggs, sausage, toast, chicken, everything. It's just that the best for a functional kitchen already, I can 't imagine what a reception would be for someone who was not t ' already organized in the kitchen. Amazon.com definitely had the best price as well. Because I bought around $ 110, that sa lot 'of money for an "extra " in my world, and finally I bought and I use all the time. One idea for the future would be to Cuisinart to reach a shelf underneath for the bars. That would be very smooth indeed. So if you're reading the reviews and as I did? Go for it, you won 't be disappointed. It 'sa great product. By the way, I did the kind George Forman grills, after all, as they are much cheaper than the Cuisinart, that 'is not the same. The temperature control 3-way is the key to this product, along with the heat, even with the grill plates.
I love the Cusinart Griddlers! What I wanted was to facilitate the cleaning and I did it with this easy-to dishes in the dishwasher. It 's great for sandwiches, steaks, chicken, pancakes, and much more. I had a George Forman grill, but hated to clean.
My wife says that Griddlers is becoming a very useful kitchen appliance in our kitchen for the following reasons: r R1. Size - 2 fillets and cook ribs with the lid closed with a beautiful Sear, and opened in hand to make 6 pancakes. R2. Flexibility - The removable grill plates and plate fit into place easily. You can even have an iron grill on one side and the other (although the book doesn 't call it). R3. Clean - drip cups to collect excess fat. What does not stick removable plates fit easily into the sink and sliding. So, when used in the position of closure, the area is kept clean and free of smoke. We love it when you make camp in the RV. R4. Style - coincides with the Cuisinart coffee maker that already have (plus a Nice). R rThings it 's not happy with however: r R1. She wants the 3 buttons work differently. The command center to control alternating between left or right button. The left is for "plate " and right is for "Grill", but really, what 's the difference? Few degrees temperature range. It would have been much better if the control command l left of the top plate, the right to control the plate and the bottom-center of that both for low outside the selection. In this way, could be used only what was needed, the Heat-wise R2: maximum flexibility and control. . It takes at least 6 to 10 minutes to heat until the knob is turned to indicate that the light is ready to cook. This seems a long time for me but we 're used for cooking gas. If you don ' t expect all the time, there will be cold areas on the surface of cooking, so that 's worth waiting. R3. The temperature is not constant. When the plate is set to 350, the center of the plate temperature was 350 to 300 in 4 minutes, then back up to 350 in 2 minutes, but during the time that 's fall, the light this means that 's the correct temperature - this can be a problem if you make pancakes poured out on 300 thinking it ' s 350 My wife is now making my reading instantly know gun safety before served. R4. The top plate is usually 20 degrees cooler than the lower plate. R4. Maybe a little uncomfortable to close the lid on foods like hot dogs, and not have them ' jet 'before. To avoid this, place the tip of a pair of pincers at the rear hinge and the cap space until it is resting on the food. After withdrawing the separator and fine cuisine. R5 . Put in frozen foods that seem to fall dramatically and the heat it takes a while to get the heat up It 's the best room to put food on the surface temperature of cooking. r rOverall, unity It does what it says 'll do my wife likes to cook pork, eggs, hash browns, French toast, pancakes, steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs and more with it.
The Good: rThis is a great product. It is like a foreman grill grilled panini makes large, is also multifunctional. It also seems to be very well done because the outer parts are stainless steel. R rI have used my Panini Grill 2 to 3 days each for almost 1.5 years. We use it to do all kinds of paninis, grilled bacon, burgers. Especially for the panini but since I love them. R rI love the way that makes sandwiches, and that 's fastest way to make a traditional sandwich. With the sandwich being grilled on both sides, the sandwich is done after a few minutes. It really doesn 't much time to finish and is great. R rthe temperature controls are nice to have, but I really Don 't use them much. R rthe different dishes are welcome. There 'sa regular panini grill plate and flat plate. It's also nice that you can pick up the excess oil drip into the glasses that you can attach to the side of machines. R rthe plates are also removable and interchangeable, so that 's convenient to clean when you only want to blow it in the dishwasher. R rthe Bad: RSO generally believe in paying for quality products. I love the lining of all the pots and pans, Rowenta Irons, Kitchen Aid Mixers, etc. The common theme is that you pay for quality. When you get an expensive, he expects to last for a very long time. R RSO after using this product for a couple of weeks, I would have realized that began the breakup of the pieces in the back of the unit. It seemed like an innocent problem. However, after the hinge broke on my panini press, I'm beginning to think this has been made of cheap metal in places that are more severe. R rthe hinges receive the most wear on this unit and if it breaks after continuous use after 1.5 years, this is not a product well done. R ref wants to imagine what it's like, just imagine you have a steel rod in his hand. If he broke like a twig, you see pieces of metal. That 's my gaze hinges. Only broke the right of the unit. There 's also two other pieces that fell off the back of the unit that actually Don ' t help much. There 's clear that metal fatigue in this unit, but for a Cuisinart product, you wouldn ' t wait. R rI really want to have some type of steel used in the hinges instead of a cheaper metal snaps just after a year and a half of use. R rthe good news: rther 'sa 3-year warranty on this product. Their warranty policy is unfair because if Aren 't one of the states cited, you must pay $ 10 and return shipping of your product. I am fortunate that I live in California, which are exempt from this policy. UPS is coming to pick up my unit, and when I get back, I will get a new one sent to me. R RSO I think this is a product of 5 stars, but the durability makes me bring it down 2 stars. So, as a result, if you buy this product, Don 't expect it to last.
I bought my cuisinart Griddlers 3 years ago because the name of the product. The first thing I found was that fat would not drain if you see something, supported under the Griddlers in one place or another. Wasn 't long before the record started sticking barbecue. Had to spray them with "BBQ Spray ". Last week, the temperature on the grill part no longer works, and everything was cooked on high heat, and the device began to smoke. The temperature control at the plate part still works, and the plates don 't smoke, I can only assume it was what I sprayed on the radiator panels and the high temperatureCuisinart GR-4 Griddlers that smoking causes. Long story short - too much money for what you in return. George Foreman Buy .... drain away more for your money and at least the fat is not the back of the device.
Performance is no discomfort. The problems with the griddles and come clean. R flashed behind the backs of the plates are not coated, and the development of this black stuff that comes out of his fingers easily. R RALS when you wash dishes to develop dry powder, which panels to information provided by the white powder on the back. R rReplacement griddles are outrageously expensive!
I LOVE THIS MACHINE! It has all the features I was looking for (removeable grill plates, Sear setting, small footprint). Make great sandwiches, and meat cooks quickly and tastes much better than when cooked in the oven or stove. Makes yummy grilled zucchini, too! Heat very fast, so the entire cooking process goes quickly. I already said I love this car? :)
We liked the versatility of this without being too big. We used 3 times so far out of conviction / Cuban sandwiches and no complaints. Price was good but not great, but saved us gas prices.
The Cuisinart Grill is everything they say it is. Our only problem is trying to find ways to use this rather than our Fried bread and cooking. What makes this element so Nice kitchen is the removable grill plates. You can delete the Griddler and soak in the sink. They are very easy to clean this way, more than any of the apparatus George Forman. Until now, we take the Griddler.
Although I complain about the temperature button broke years ago, still works great and really no room online 't slowed our use of this low, just be careful not to burn stuff. I won 't recommend it though.
I bought my Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler about two weeks ago, after dithering in which the type Panini Maker should I get. I checked the reviews here, widely, and eventually crossed his fingers and bought this one. I must tell you, I am very pleased. R RMY hope is to upgrade from the George Foreman grill for something hot enough to make cooking Paninis, and burgers. My "beef " with George Foreman is that he held out little heat my burger more steamed than boiled, and they do not have the slightly charred burgers taste so good make. Because I have a GR-4, I cooked the burgers on the right, with good people slightly charred grill marks, and more importantly, the burgers taste juicier and better. One of my favorite tricks is to buy beef (chuck) in a larger amount, form them into loaves, and flash-freeze them, pack them and then become two-patty package. I have found with the GR-4 that I can just pop a few (it will easily hold 4) of the Griddler into the bread, and would take bread from frozen to cooked to perfection in minutes. R rThe other reason I bought a GR-4 is to Paninis. I just love good faith, but has become a bit fed up with store-bought. Too little time on materials, and not very imaginative. Since buying GR-4, I have a better quality of Paninis, perfectly cooked, than ever before. One of my favorite tricks is to cut Griddler red pepper, some chopped onion and some sliced portabellas, spray them with a little Pam, and grill them a few minutes while I build the rest of the sandwich. I put them all together, grill it, and Presto - the perfect Panini. R Rone of the features really well from the GR-4 which I really appreciate is how easily I could pop from (let them cool completely) grill plates, took them to the sink, and clean. I HATE George Foreman I-plate remains thin, mean, grillin 'machines because it was very very uncomfortable to clean. Not so with the Cuisinart. R Rover all, I 'd say this is one of my happiest purchases from Amazon yet. Five stars all the way!
What a great present I received Cuisinart griddle! I don 't know how I lived without it.
This product is incredible ... all the advantages of having a grill indoors. I have successfully cooked hamburgers, steaks, chicken, vegetables, etc. on the grill with great results. It is also easy to clean and compact. Much better than a plastic with George Foreman.
The Griddler prepare foods quickly and evenly. Changing plates is simple grill is clean. It is well worth the price.
It 's great, but be prepared for a large, bulky item. Rthe handle sticks out a lot so it ' s not something you can place on the counter, unless you have a huge kitchen.
Griddler bought this over a year ago and it really showed during the rainy weather of New England and the winter icey cold. My wife loves it and cooks it the way you want it to be cooked and is like a breeze to clean. Weber was my bad mood because this Griddler can cook a steak pink inside and crispy on the outside with out all the smoke and flames that used to be with a charcoal fire. RPut simply "result copy without any hassle "!
We 've had ours for a month or so and planning to return it. (thanks C **** or rules) The build quality just isn 't on par with our arms all cookware and Weber gas grill. (or Cuisinart food processor) It 'sa little thin and the grates are too thin to prevent hot / cold spots. I 't compare it to other makes and models. If you don 't have the backyard grill or stovetop griddle other is probably fine but if you have any good kitchen you don ' t need it. R rFYI - For me, 3-stars equates to "fairly good ".
